ADVANCED SCENT WORK CLASS
For Experienced Scent Work Exhibitors
5:00 to 6:00 pm, 6 week course, $150/$140 members
SESSION 2: June 22, 29; July 6, 13, 20, 27
Limited to 6 teams, class is for handlers / dog teams who have experience with the Birch odor. This course will introduce the Anise odor and provide practice for each handler / dog team to search for both odors within a single search. The goal of this course is to explore various methods of training dogs to recognize both Birch odor and Anise odor in a trial setting. Handling materials (1 time fee to be individually discussed with the instructor prior to or during the 1st class, $0-$40 depending on student’s needs). A small notebook, tracking style harness allowing full range of motion, & 6’-10’ leash or long line are required for 1st class. Bring high value treats, enough for 60 minutes of training.

All classes are held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 89 Wisdom Way, Greenfield, MA in the Grandstand Building.
