PV Kennel Club - Intro to Scent Work

INTRO TO AKC SCENT WORK

6:30 to 7:30 pm, 6-week course, $150/$140 members
Additional fee of $40 for training materials, onetime fee.

SESSION 1: April 6, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18 (no class 4/13)

Limited to 6 teams. Novice level for handler/dog team who have never trained in scent work. Goal of the course is to gain the skills required to successfully compete in AKC scent work trial at novice level. Handler needs to bring a tracking style harness allowing full range of motion, & 6’-10’ leash or long line & high value treats, enough for 60 minutes of training. Teams can opt to continue from session 1 into session 2 to build on skills. New teams are welcome to start in session 2. Carol Krygowski

All classes are held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 89 Wisdom Way, Greenfield, MA in the Grandstand Building.
